The Marine Culture Program

You may wonder what exactly is it that we are into. So do we. In fact, we had a little, or make it a BIG apprehension on this whole thing. For relatively new comers, with no or little experience whatsoever, this is quite a big risk. But after some research, investigations, running through numbers and financial analysis, we eventually proceeded.

I am referring to the Marine culture project, particularly of the Bangus specie here in our City. It is a program at the heart of Panabo Marine Culture Park, Panabo City, fully supported and regulated by Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

It also have a relatively well structured support units of feeds suppliers, outlets for harvested bangus to be sold (Bagsakan), and most importantly the endorsement and support of the local government, from the City, to the Barangay.

The main objective of the program is to ensure supply of food, in this case, Bangus, and other aquatic resources in the Mindanao Region as part of the National Government's program. In our case, we are involved in marine fish caging.

Through this program, the local government and its partners want to create awareness and acceptance of Panabo bangus marine cage and would give support to ensure profit to its fisher folks and investors. They do this by providing technical and marketing support to us the investors and our caretakers.

Our loft is made up of 3 units, 100 sq. meters with a depth of approximately 20-25 m during high tide. It is located almost 300 m away from the coast line.

This project is promising, and we'll keep you up to date with our progress.
:)
