Bangus Farming - Our First Sampling

Hello there. On October 07, 2010, we conducted our first sampling. Sampling is a process wherein we randomly select 30 Bangus Fingerlings and take it weight and determine its mean. This is a sort of monitoring to give an idea on the progress of the fishes' growth. This will also give us an idea, though not in absolute terms if our methods of feeding is experiencing wastage.

It was done by Jenny, and her team. She is a representative of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. According to their research, the growth rate should approximate 3 grams per day. Unfortunately for us, we were not able to take note of the initial weights of our fingerlings, so we cannot bench mark it yet.

Lesson learned: Take note of everything, especially its weight.

Anyway, we had our stacking last September 27, and our sampling on the 7th of October. That would be 10 days.

Our Reading is 85 grams.
Until the next sampling of which we could already bench mark.
